Work in Progress: The Family (Back Tattoo), Part 1
Background:
This back tattoo features many elements: each representing a family member and the animal of their Chinese sign (tiger: father, dragon: mother, phoenix: brother). More colour will be added as the tattoo continues to be completed.

Ukrainian Symbol (Calf Tattoo)
Background:
The tattoo is a Ukrainian symbol to represent his family background. The original symbol was changed around at his request to include the sword, in representation of his heritage.

The Future is Unwritten (Shoulder Tattoo)
Background:
The slogan The Future is Unwritten was a favourite quote, so he had it put on his shoulder with his “family”; his three siblings’ names. Plans to come back to finish a half or 3/4 sleeve with Peter.

Inside the Maple Leaf
Background:
This tattoo designed by Yovany for a client his background and added it inside of a maple leaf. The maple leaf symbolizes Canada (obviously), the clover represents Ireland, and the thistle for Scotland.

Yovany’s “Purple Angel”
Background
In memory of all her family members that had passed away, Yovany‘s client had a guardian angel tattoo on her back – the purple a representation of the heavens, the blue acting as the wings of the angel.

Yovany’s “We Love You Grandma”
Background
Two sisters had this commemorative tattoo done for their grandmother. As a mute, she had used this hand gesture to symbolize “love” to the two of them. Their grandmother, who was half native, passed away and the sisters had a tattoo done to show their love back to her.
