Work in Progress: Father’s Portrait (Full Back Tattoo)

Background:
A continuation to a massive back piece with his father as the centre piece, more components were added. The theme is based on his father’s interests, including horse racing, hunting, and nature. Added was an eagle and other birds across the top, with exceptional detail.

More to come on this fantastic back tattoo.

Elvis Found! (Thigh Tattoo)

Background:
Kyle, one of the staff at Black Line Studio, added another piece to his collection, this time his first portrait piece. In his quest to cover his entire body, he went to Yovany (who specializes on portraits) for a realistic Elvis tattoo on his thigh. Kyle’s grandmother was a big time Elvis fan and put this piece on his leg for her. On the other leg, he plans to add another portrait to match.

Father Portrait (Back Tattoo)

Background:
Continuation piece – the first sitting was the portrait of the client’s father. The second sitting involved adding more realistic elements, including the jacket, hand, and horse racer. Later, he plans to add in a forest with birds flying around, and finishing up the horse racing piece. Exceptional shading details!

Rose Portrait

Background
Peter‘s friend called up to have a walk-in tattoo done an hour before showing up at the Studio. She was looking to have a portrait of a woman on her hip. The tattoo is a Sailor Jerry style face surrounded by roses – appropriate since her mother’s name is Rose.
